Aim and substance of recycling
Recycling of various waste materials, is the process by which goods, resulting directly or indirectly from human activity and being no longer useful for human, are reused partially or totally. In this process usually waste is converted into secondary raw material from which new goods are produced.
Part of the recycling process is the conversion of environmentally harmful materials in less or no harmful. This is done to reintegrate them smoothly into the natural environment, which substantially completes the recycling process naturally. Hence the importance of recycling is essential and manifold:
- Waste is reduced and so are the problems of its management
- Recycling saves energy and natural resources, which are constantly taken from nature
- Air, soil and groundwater pollution is reduced, thus keeping the environment clearer
- Energy required to manufacture new goods is saved
- Long-term decline of prices is achieved, as the need to produce new raw material is reduced
